The Alaska Airlines Vacations Travel Protection Plan is your ticket to worry-free travel. Now you can protect your travel investment at a very affordable group rate -- take the peace of mind with you when you travel.

Pre-Departure Cancellation Waiver

Cancel your vacation for any reason up until four hours prior to departure and receive a refund equal to the amount of payments made to Alaska Airlines Vacations (less the cost of the Travel Protection Plan, which is non-refundable). Alaska Airlines Vacations must be properly notified of the cancellation in order for the benefit(s) to apply.  The plan does not cover "no show" situations. Under the Pre-Departure Cancellation Waiver benefit, Alaska Airlines Vacations will reimburse the cancellation penalty amount, and any items that were nonrefundable at the time of booking to the original form of payment.
Please note: This Pre-Departure Cancellation Waiver benefit does not cover penalities associated with air or other travel arrangements not provided by Alaska Airlines Vacations or revision fees or additoinal per person occupancy rates that may occur if the number of travelers changes. This Pre-Departure Cancellation Waiver is provided by Alaska Airlines Vacations, and is not an insurance benefit underwritten by US Fire Insurance Company.

The Travel Protection Plan must be purchased at the time of booking or when deposit is paid.

The Travel Protection Plan does not cover revision fees or additional per person occupancy rates that may occur if the number of travelers changes. Alaska Airlines Vacations must be properly notified of the cancellation in order for the benefit(s) to apply. The Plan does not cover “no-show” situations. A “no-show” is defined as a failure to notify Alaska Airlines Vacations of a cancellation prior to 4 hours before departure.

Pre-Travel Cancellation Protection is not insurance and applies only to situations prior to departure.

Once travel has commenced, the insurance benefits detailed in Part B will apply.

Waiver of the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion

This plan is available regardless of your age. Pre-Existing Medical Conditions are covered if payment for this plan is received by Alaska Airlines Vacations within 7 days of the initial deposit/payment for your Trip. Please Note: This policy may not be purchased after you have made final payment for your Trip.

The Alaska Airlines Vacations Travel Protection Plan protects your travel investment if your Trip is canceled or interrupted for a covered reason such as injury, illness or death of you, a Family Member, a Traveling Companion or a Business Partner.

If you must interrupt your Trip or return home early for a covered reason, the plan will pay (up to the original cost of your Trip) for your unused land or water Travel Arrangements, less any refund paid or payable, plusthe Additional Transportation Cost to return home or rejoin your Trip.

The Alaska Airlines Vacations Travel Protection Plan gives you peace of mind with benefits that cover, up to the plan's limits, everything from medical expenses (incurred during your Trip) to special transportation (such as an airambulance) required for medical reasons.
Travel Delayed? You're OK!
You’ll be reimbursed up to $150 per day (to a maximum of $750 total) for meals and accommodations if your Trip is delayed for more than 12 hours for a covered reason.
Baggage Lost or Damaged? You're Protected!
It’s a traveler’s nightmare. You arrive at your destination, but your baggage has disappeared. Or has been stolen or damaged. What do you do? If you’re protected by the Alaska Airlines Vacations Travel Protection Plan, you’ll be reimbursed up to $1,000 to replace or repair your lost or damaged luggage and personal articles.
Baggage Delayed? Need Clothes and Toiletries? Count on us!
The Alaska Airlines Vacations Travel Protection Plan reimburses you up to $200 to help cover the cost of clothing, toiletries and/or personal items if your baggage is delayed for more than 24 hours while you are on your Trip.
