Generali joins the celebrations for the\u00a0International Day of Persons with Disabilities<\/strong>\u00a0(IDPD), proclaimed by the\u00a0United Nations<\/strong>\u00a0in 1992 and recurring every year on 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0December. The observance of the Day aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.<\/p>\n The theme for IDPD this year is \u201cLeadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world<\/em>.\u201d As part of its Lifetime Partner ambition,\u00a0Generali has launched<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>the \u201cDiverseAbility\u201d campaign<\/strong>\u00a0with the aim to fight\u00a0discrimination, raise awareness on the topic of disability and mobilize support for the recognition of wider social needs: in other words, contributing to the shift from a “medical” model to a rights-based approach, focusing on social inclusion and equal opportunities for people of all, diverse, abilities.<\/p>\n For this reason, various initiatives have been launched at Group and local level, including:<\/p>\n Making our workplace an even more inclusive, accessible and sustainable environment is part of Generali\u2019s Lifetime Partner ambition.
