Who Is Trip Mate

Trip Mate is the partner that leading travel professionals turn to for high-quality travel protection products and services for the traveling public.

In addition to offering industry leading travel protection plans, we provide complete program administrative services including product design, underwriting, and our state-of-the-art claims services.

Our unique product offerings help us provide travelers with a plan to help protect their needs while they are away. We were the first company to make available provisions to waive the policy exclusion for pre-existing conditions throughout our entire product line and provide terrorism coverage without geographic or political restrictions on many of our policies.

Your Partner in Travel

In 2019, Trip Mate was acquired by Generali Global Assistance (GGA). GGA is a division of the Europ Assistance Group (EA), a global leader in travel insurance and other assistance services for more than 55 years. EA is part of the Generali Group, one of the world’s largest insurers.

Trip Mate’s mission can best be summed up by our corporate motto, Your Partner in Travel. Partnership, by its definition, expresses long-term commitment and relationship for the betterment of all.
The guiding principal of partnership of Trip Mate extends throughout our organization to tour operators, retail travel organizations, and cruise lines who look to us for quality products and services, and, most importantly, to each and every traveler covered by our plans.

We value our relationships with our many partners: the insurance carriers that we represent, the travel organizations who distribute our products, and, most importantly, the individuals for whom we provide benefits and services. We represent multiple insurance companies allowing us to provide you with varied options to best meet your protection plan needs.

Our promise for all of our partners is to demonstrate our commitment to excellence.  In every aspect of our business relationships we strive to do things large and small to meet this goal.

We offer travel protection plans as authorized representatives of the insurance companies listed on our website. We are licensed in all states, as required by law.

Industry Commitment

Trip Mate is dedicated to helping improve the travel experience today and for future generations through partnerships with philanthropic organizations which: work to protect and restore emerging or at-risk destinations, provide travel industry workforce education, and promote and improve corporate social responsibility.

We back our commitment with strong support in both time and money to organizations such as Tourism Cares and the SYTA Youth Foundation. As a Strategic Partner of Tourism Cares, we have participated in worldwide conservation projects and sponsorships.

Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct, inherited from the Generali Group, is our guide to doing the right thing. Our Code sets ethical expectations of everybody working for, or on behalf of, Generali all around the world.

Having a common set of Values and clear ethical expectations in our Code helps us to make choices in a consistent way and enables our workplace to continue to be an environment where frankness, openness and candour can be relied upon. When anyone is faced with an ethical dilemma, our Values and our Code will guide them.

Our managers are expected to be role models for our Code and to make their teams feel comfortable asking questions about whether certain behavior or business proposals are in line with our Values and the principles of our Code. In addition, online and instructor led training programs coupled with a comprehensive communications program ensure that all our employees are fully aware of the importance of our Code and their responsibilities to speak up if they have any concerns.

Everyone is encouraged to voice concerns or ask for clarification on any aspect of our Code. To facilitate this we have both local and Group level reporting channels available for people to report any concerns in all of the countries we operate in. Confidentiality is guaranteed and we have zero tolerance for any form of retaliation.
